Joe Torre to broadcast booth?

Did anyone else see Cory McFerrin's report on Fox News at 10? He said that Joe Torre will not manage the Yankees next year, but be in the broadcast booth. I can't find anything else about it. Anyone else hear about it?

I didn't see the report, but I'd think that he meant Joe Girardi who IIRC is going to be affiliated with the Yankees TV broadcast or network next season.

Yeah, now I see that he must have meant Girardi, although he did say "Torre won't be managing the Yankees next year."

What a stupid blunder.

I didn't see it, but it's possible that it was just a name mix-up (I'm sure it was, you don't need to do any research to have seen it all over ESPN), and had nothing to do with "research".
