Tribune Co. (and the Chicago Tribune itself) wouldn't work for Rupert on account the newspapers would conflict with the television stations he owns as part of the Fox network. If Murdoch could have had a Chicago newspaper in addition to a television station here, he never would have sold the Sun-Times.

gannet's a good operation..their sports paper(sports weekly) is actually pretty unbiased....

How does he own the NY Post and WNYW-TV in NYC?
