The South Side camp may also be itching to make some news of its own, now that the Cubs have made big headlines by signing Aramis Ramirez off the block.
Yeah... what's something the Sox could do to make some news in this town...?

Speaking of the Aramis Ramirez resigning: One of the funniest things I ever read was a Scott Miller (from cbssportsline) article in which he refers to Ramirez as a "gamer."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! Yeah right...if he's a gamer then Baines is a big mouth!

Anyway, it really makes you wonder if the so called experts really watch anyone outside of New York or Boston. Jeeez

The Cubs just overpaid dearly for an overrated third basemen who makes, on a consistent basis, bad throws to first base, and gets meaningless hits, and thus puts together great looking numbers. However, his numbers do not add up to victories for the Cubs.

For example: 38 home runs, 119 RBI, for a team that was 66-96. The last time the White Sox lost that many games (or close to that many) was in 1976, finishing 67-94.

In addition, Ramirez seems to take a few plays off, makes baserunning blunders, and adds a few fielding lapses. Again, the Cubs overpaid to keep him. What was it? Five years, $73 million? (I'll take Crede with half the offense, any day)

He's a gamer like a broken clock is right twice a day- every once in a while it just happens.

The World Series we won last year really means nothing in the whole scheme of things. The Cubs own this city, and any signing they can make trumps anything our team could ever do, including winning it all.
