Of course, the first choice was to have this at JIMBOS, as a sort of last hurrah for his place, but Jimbos being open thru December is still up in the air. After Monday Dec 4th, we'll know if we can have the party at his place one way or the other.

Looks like you guys have a lot of conflicting events going on. This is why the Mr. and I always have our holiday party the second Saturday in January. We started doing it about five years ago after getting tired of people--including ourselves--having conflicting events. And we'd never go back to the "old" way.

This way, your attendance numbers go way up. Plus it breaks up that monotonous time between the holidays and the Super Bowl. And you can go to your holiday work/family parties and still get together with your pals.

Dec. 15 is great for me because, for once, I have a client located in the Loop and can walk over to the bar after work. Best of all, Dec. 15 is my firm's last day on the project, so I'll probably be able to leave work a little early.:gulp:

Well, I'm not exactly home, but since I'm back in the States, it's close enough for me until Holiday Block Leave. I'll probably take Pace and CTA to Dugan's or just park my car in one of those "Park and Ride" areas in Rosemont and take the CTA the rest of the way. Per the website (http://www.dugansonhalsted.com/), Dugan's has free pizza for their five o'clock happy hour. It might make sense to just meet there a bit early vs. bouncing from bar to bar.

I can catch of a train arriving around 5:15 or 5:45. I plan on staying until 9 or so and could use the pizza base.

Michelob Ultra is on special as well which may be a good option with all the upcoming holiday parties.

Is anyone getting there earlier than 7:00? I get off work at about 4:30 and it isn't worth it for me to head home first. Meet at another bar beforehand? Meet at Dugan's at 5:00? I'm open to ideas...

I heard that the band will be there early to set up, so if you choose to go straight to Dugan's from work, people will likely be there for the party at that time. Our party will most likely be in the back room (where it was last year, for those of you who were in attendance), as that's where the band will be playing.

Got that babysitter for 5:30.....so about 6'ish or 6:30 I guess.

The flyer says that the party starts at 7pm. Are people going to be there after work? I'd like to stop in, but I could probably only go from 5-7pm but I don't want to be sitting in Dugan's by myself. Please advise.

I know for the sure that the band members will be there early, and some other posters were considering going straight to Dugan's after work if they don't go elsewhere for awhile. Just head to the back room of the bar and you'll likely see people for the party. Let me know if you need any other information.

Well according to someone on Soxtalk all I add to anything is "I like beer." I wouldn't touch this little shindig with a ten foot pole. I may wash my hair just out of spite.

Actually I'm going to see Rise Against and the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

No, we have to be tucked in bed by 10:00. Being White Sox fans, we have jobs to get to in the morning.

Jeez, I really hope I'm not missing anyone. I had to bounce at 9:00 so if you came later, I'm afraid I missed you. I had met everyone before except AuroraSoxFan but it is always good to meet new Sox fans (new to me, that is).

And of course, cheers to Hangar18 for setting the whole thing up.

Except for the dirty hair, it was a cool little shindig. Thanks to Henry for setting it up.

It was really good seeing you there, Miller (as well as everyone else I talked with). Noone came after you guys left. I stayed until about 10:30 (I bet Jen's still there).

Quote of the evening: Henry during his gig -- "I'm gonna go wash my hair in three minutes." Jen and I got a great laugh out of that.

You shouldn't have. It was a nice shirt, much nicer than an orange one.

Good gathering. Everyone was in good Christmas / Hannakuh cheer. Great to see everyone!

Fabulous times last night! It was nice seeing everyone again, great meeting AuroraSoxFan, and a couple guys from Soxtalk who showed up around midnight.

Hangar's band was awesome and they played for almost two hours. They would've played longer had the guitarist not broken one of his strings. Hangar even incorporated a 7th Inning Stretch into the set, so we got to sing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame!"

All in all, awesome times had and kudos to Hangar for organizing this great party. :bandance:
