how long did they sit on this information?
I don't think they do any testing in the offseason, so they waited to announce this so he could pitch in the damn playoffs.
un-freakin-believeable!

Guess that explains why he got to the NL and was unhittable again. He was AWFUL with the Toons, and they cut him when they had the worst bullpen in MLB. :o:

Or if they had won it.:o:

Somehow if the Mets had reached and won the WS, the Tigers wouldn't have blamed a steroid ridden Guillermo Mota as the factor that put them over the top.

You are right. Curious how they wait until after the playoffs.

But they did the same thing when Robbie Alomar spit on the umpire. They said it unfairly hurt his team if he had to miss the playoffs.

The thing that makes me wonder is why are these results always so sporadic? It's like they purposely space them out so they can maximize the headlines.

I'm sure the excuse will be the appeals process. Isn't that what they said about Raffy?

Did he say he was doing them when he first did them? I highly doubt it. I don't really respect someone who decides to cheat and only feels bad when he is caught.

Have any hitters been busted for steroids?

The ones I recall right now are pitchers. What does this do to the alleged tainting of the "juice" era by offensive players? Pitchers were apparantly using them too.
