YUP. 158 was his section. Every game, he would look to certain spots to say Hello. He did say to me once that once his high-school aged kid was done with school ...........he would probably be moving on. What an awesome guy. My Favorite Mansoo moments .............

Dodger Stadium 03. Game was over and bullpen guys walking towards the dugouts, we notice him and yell MANSOOO LEEEEEEEEEEEE. He looks and says "MAN YOU EVERYWHERE"

WS Parade. I have my video camera and im filming the first bus flying by, I see in my viewfinder, a guy Pointing at me and yelling HEYYYYYYYYYYYYY. Mansoo

SoxFest 06. Im walking Friday nite with Pats brother Mike, when I overhear someone say to someone else, "excuse me for a second", and notice someone coming towards me, I look to my left, and Mansoo gives me the biggest bear hug in history .............."we did it" he says to me.

he will be missed ...... Good Luck MANSOO

You have to know Cave to appreciate his sense of humor, as well as his demeanor. Whatever your experience with him that caused you to feel that way is too bad, but having been acquainted with him for a number of years, I can tell you that your impression is not shared by very many.

Maybe Mark Salas is looking for another stint as a bullpen catcher. Not Man Soo, but a funny and very nice guy.

It's nice that you are acquainted with him and you get along. My friends and I never cared for him since we were kids. He wouldn't give us the time of day let alone a autograph or baseball. I was wrong in calling him that, he was just never very friendly.

Hopefully you don't judge everyone by what they give you or don't give you... if you do, I guess that explains the unnecessary name calling.

But enough about Cave...

Mothers Day, 2005: Sox in Toronto. Man Soo goes up and down the right field line looking for every woman who had a rose that was given out when the Mom's entered Rogers Centre. Each one he sees, he calls over, hugs them and wishes them a Happy Mother's Day. What a guy! The fans of Toronto fell in love with him that day too!

GOOD LUCK AND THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES, MAN SOO!

This year we went down to Ameriquest Field (Texas Rangers) and sat near the Sox bullpen. My g/f, sister, and her sisters went over and talked to Man Soo before the game, he kept calling them "Beautiful Girls". After the game, he came out of the bullpen, and pulled out a ball, signed it, and threw it to my g/f.

When we came back the following weekend for a Sox game in Chicago, we went down to the field, he came over and my g/f, sister and her sister asked if he remembered them, he said yes, beautiful girls from Texas. He then gave them all a hug and posed for a photo with them. Every game after, they made sure to look for Man Soo and find out what he was doing. Hopefully the Sox will find a bullpen catcher even 1/2 as great as Man Soo is.

I remember I had some seats in the second row behind the bullpen early in the season. It was my first real experience with Man Soo. I had heard so much about him on here previously, and his attitude lived up to all expectations. I was with my brother and dad, and I told them about him and how he was real friendly and called the Korean Babe Ruth. Later on in the year my brother went to a game and sat in pretty much the same area. When I asked him about how the game was, one of the first things he told me about was Man Soo. A truly wonderful guy who made the Sox even more loveable.

If true then the organization and the fans of the Sox will be losing a great ambassador for baseball and a very entertaining individual. I got to know Man Soo from sitting 3 row behind the Sox bullpen for three years. We would have good banter back and forth. Summer of 2005 he took my niece on the field for a picture at Camden Yards. He understood a little act of kindness would go a long way in creating a fan for life in not only himself, but the Sox and baseball in general. Best of luck Man Soo. You will be missed.

I think what's remarkable about Man Soo is that regardless of where he is (at the Cell or on the road), he represents the White Sox organization so well. He always puts kids first. He always has that great, friendly smile on his face. In my mind, he is the best ambassador the Sox could ever have.

My 11 year-old daughter always makes a point to stop down to say "hello" to him before each game. When I tell her the news, she'll be crushed. Just like I am. :o(

If there was a child to hug and kiss...or a woman to hug or a guy to high five...he was doing it. THe better part of the bleachers and the right field seats all had their picture taken with him (including me and my friends)...he was funny and friendly...he was signing EVERYTHING people asked him to and giving away baseballs...and when he ran out of baseballs he gave one kid a batting glove.

Good Luck Man Soo.

He is one of the few professionals that actually enjoyed interaction with the fans. He would go out of his way to goof around and talk with people. I think thats why hes getting so much love here. I know everyone in left field love him to death. It will be sad to see him go.

"Former home run king Lee is an ex-Samsung Lion, who recorded 252 homers during 16 seasons, He was a bullpen catcher of for last seasonís World Series champion Chicago White Sox before agreeing to the deal with the Wyverns.

Lee, 48, is the first player to achieve the triple crown in 1984 as well as to hit a home run in the KBO, which started in 1982. He led the league in homers three times, twice in RBIs. After retiring from baseball, he went to the United States in 1997 and has been with the White Sox since 1998."

Wow. All this for a bullpen catcher??? :?::?:

What, exactly, does a bullpen catcher do besides keeping the ball from bouncing off the back of the bullpen?

He let one go and it bounced over the railing right past my face in August. I still love Man Soo Lee. I am glad he is getting a promotion but the bullpen will never be the same - for players or Sox fans.

Truly an asset to the Sox. I'm glad he leaves us with a ring. And who know, maybe he will develop some great Korean players and send them to us. Also, you never know if he will be back someday as a coach here.

You will be greatly missed. RHILL72 from the boards has seats right next to the bullpen and he spoke with us often. I am glad I got him to sign this before he left. (2006 Opening Day)
