How about Chris Duffy? Sure the guy has somewhat of an attitude problem but the talent is there. Perhaps Ozzie can tame him and possibly emerge as a starting left fielder in the future.

The Pirates CF? He is one of the best young fielders in the game, but I had no idea he had an attitude problem. Is that why they sent him down in favor of McLouth?

I think Jerry Owens would make a fine 4th outfielder.

The Sox have an excellent 4th outfielder. His name is Brian Anderson. :D:

I was thinking Podsednik would be an excellent 4th outfielder.

This is a huge reason why the Sox were not successful in making the playoffs, I can see Pablo or Cintron somewhere else next year and a journey OF with speed and who bats RH in their place.

I'd like to see Pods as the 4th outfielder.

After a lackluster season, I think Pods has proven that he's no longer a starting player for a contender. Especially not a leadoff guy.

But I think he'd have tremendous value coming off the bench.

A $2 million dollar bench player who can't hit, can't field and is afraid to run? Sign me up for some of that.

We can find bench speed much cheaper than that.

I don't. You can't expect all that much offense from the bench. It is hard to hit when you play at most twice a week. The most important thing is great defense on the bench. Even if Scotty comes back to 2005 form and gets on base, he will still be a huge defensive liability. Therefore, you wouldn't want to pinch run him late in games.
