I had no doubt whatsoever that we'd win, and probably in 5 or less. That was a good feeling.

Is that the only game the Sox have ever played on October 22? Wouldn't surprise me if it was.

I predict Sox in four.

But what if we have a really long extra-inning game? We'd have Marte at the ass-end of our bullpen...I'm sure the Astros have someone better than him!

Ozzie will consider turning to Ozuna if necessary, but I have a hunch Buehrle will save the day, even if the game goes well after midnight.

That was a pretty awesome day. 4 hour tailgate followed by something I didn't think I would ever experience Game 1 of the World Series. The atmosphere in the Cell that night was just electric. I hope we can all experience that feeling again next year.

As long as we don't see that one scrub on the field ever...what's his name? Bum? something like that.

Thats just madness. There's no way Buehrle would come in a closing situation thats like calling on Geoff Blum to get you a hit... his hair is ridiculous, would NEVER happen.

You're probably right. I don't know where I'd get a crazy idea like that - I must have been posting while tripping balls on acid or something.

Yes, they were and yes, they will. Let the 2006 post-season roll as it will. The Sox will be back next year, and back strong.

The 2006 off season has been good to me. I've been working out like a man possessed and the inches are falling off my waistline and ski and swim seasons are looking good.

I think we need some more pre-season negativity at these forums. That was definetly absent this year. Lets each one of us find something to be really mad about and just dwell on that on all your posts. (e.g. Move the fences back because we got Pods)

This was the greatest game I have ever been to in my life. Never have I smiled and cried so much in one night!

Yes, indeed. What a happy day this was. I was also at that game and I remember thinking and praying, "please God let us see our beloved White Sox win a World Series game." And then the next day I pleaded for another win and another win and another win.

On October 22, I also remember taking in all the sights around the Park - the huge World Series (the World Series logo) banners hanging on the crosswalk outside the park, the fans all covered in White Sox regalia, the tailgating before the game, and just the looks on everyone's faces as they watched the pre-game festivities, the first pitch and then the game.

I was very proud of Jose Contreras (my favorite player) for his performance that day.
