October 16, 2005 - The White Sox win their 6th league championship beating the Angels 6 - 3. Jose Contreras fired the fourth consecutive complete game by the starting staff. After losing the first game of the A.L.C.S. the Sox sweep away Los Angeles. Paul Konerko is named the A.L.C.S. MVP. The city of Chicago, especially on the South Side and in the South suburbs go wild as the ‘nightmare scenario’ happens for Cub fans.

I was never more proud to be a Sox fan than during that series, even more so than the World Series. The way they dominated the Angels was just beautiful.

For the 1st time in my life the White Sox Win the Pennant!!!!!:bandance: The ghosts of 1983 were finally put to rest. Truely one of the greatest days in White Sox history. :gulp:

I hope we'll see more pennants in the near future.:praying:

This was a day of tremendous pride for all White Sox fans. Every time I read or heard, Chicago White Sox - "American League Champions" - I was thrilled. We watched this game with my extended family, including all the children. After the game was over, I hugged my dad and said: "Daddy, we are FINALLY American League Champions." He reminded me that we had been American League Champions back in 1959 (before I was born). Then, my family and I drove down to Halsted Street near the U.S. Cellular Field and we ran through the streets with White Sox flags, pennants and all of our kids in tow.

I think the best feeling in the world was to share this moment with my family and also to see the elation of all White Sox fans as we celebrated together in complete and utter joy.:bandance:

My family had a few friends over for the game. It was a Sunday night if I recall correctly. When the final out was made, I hugged my dad, and he went and got some champagne. :gulp: I chugged my plastic cup, and ran around outside yelling and crying, barefoot. Truly my most vivid Sox memory.

I was lying in bed as my very pregnant wife and first young son (14 months at the time) slept. I wept and watched every ounce of coverage I could get until the wee hours of the morning. Watching that video again gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes. I want to feel that way again very soon. Let's say we do it again in 2007.

Good thing someone mentioned it, because the clowns in the media will never bring it up ever again...

I wasn't at this game, but I did make it to the previous 2 in Anaheim.

All I can say is....YES!!!! I moved down near the field and sat right next to Minnie Minoso for the last inning Saturday night.
