October 13, 1970 - New player personnel director Roland Hemond makes his first deal in that capacity for the club. Hemond sends John ‘Pineapple’ Matias and (now Dr.) Gail Hopkins to the Royals for Don O’Riley and Pat Kelly. Kelly, who is the brother of Browns running back LeRoy Kelly, provides speed for the ‘new look’ White Sox. A solid hitter and lead off man, Pat (now deceased) would make the All Star Team in 1973.

Oh what a great game to see in person.
"This one is off the wall, Ozuna scores. It's a White Sox Winner and the ALCS is tied at a game a piece!"
"Fans are goin' nuts all the way around this facility we call US Cellular Field, we got even!"

I just loved how freakin' annoyed Joe Buck was with it on TV. He call really started the whole, "The White Sox stole game 2," mantra.
