He was a great baseball man. Too bad he didn't make the hall last year.:(:

Wow. Awful news.

It's a damn shame he didn't get to see himself get inducted into the hall. He deserved it.

That is really sad news.

He was a wonderful storyteller and one of those few actual links to history that we rarely get to hear.

And what came through every time I saw him was the dignity of a real gentleman. Thanks, Buck. Rest in peace.

This is a huge loss for baseball. O'Neil was a national treasure.

I'm saddened by O'Neil's death. He was a valuable historian and ambassador for the game: he can't be replaced.

This is very sad news. R.I.P. Buck. It's a shame he didn't get into the HOF.
