Think Blue with Kent and Drew on 1st and 2nd..I have a feeling that this series could be an offensive explosion.

Did Drew play more than 100 games this season?

Yep. Played 146 games. Highest total since '04 with the Braves, arguably his best all-around year.

The Mets go out for revenge after 1988.

The ****ing Dodgers cost me $3,100 that postseason.

Maine pitched well subbing for the injured Mets staff. I don't like riffleing through three pitchers this early in the game Filiciano for one batter). Hopefully they hold on for a victory!

They showed the Pudge highlight against New York.

Things are going south for LAD in a hurry. Hendrickson needs to make some pitches.

Edit: He just did.

samram

Nomah goes down. 13 Ks for Mets pitching. We'll have to see how the kid does tomorrow for the Dodgers.

I just saw what Lo Duca did. He's made himself a Mets legend.

SoxSpeed22
10-04-2006, 06:39 PM
How Fisk did it was a lot different. He tagged them out from different sides.
Lo Duca tagged Kent, and then waited at least three whole seconds before Drew came. Donnelly has to be fired after this series just for sending Drew.

nice move Gump bringing in Penny

I think he forced his hand by bringing in Hendrickson too early. Isn't Penny supposed to start Game 4, despite the back issue?

Another dull-ass game. Between tonight and the two Cards/Pads games, the NL series have sucked, so far.

ZachAL

I can think of about two pages worth of people who said the mets wouldnt win one game (because of duque/pedro) despite not doing the proper research on their pitching stats. What do you all think now? Mets in 3!

samram

It's just a mess of a league. The Mets are the worst 96 win team, perhaps ever, and the other teams are just crap. The Padres haven't figured out that maybe you don't pitch to Pujols with men on base. The Dodgers can't get a hit. The Cardinals can win as long as the opposition has no one that can hit.

For all the power that the Mets have, they did a hell of a job playing small ball today.

The Mets are the class of a very bad league.

I see a rematch of 73 Mets - A's.

on a side note it's been 20 years but I still get ill inside when I see the CF camera shot towards the plate at Shea.

**** it, go Mets. I hope they win it all. I like a lot of guys on their team...Delgado, Reyes, Wright, Beltran, Glavine, etc. Delgado's a guy who really deserves a championship, he spent all those years toiling in Toronto as one of the best players in the game, and now he has a chance to win the big one. I hope he does.

Well, my picks for the WS combined to win one game. Grady Little managed the team poorly (no surprise) and Lofton didn't show up (surprise).

I'd really prefer not to see a NY team in the WS- go Cards or Padres.
