Per Sun-Times...

Just minutes after Frank Thomas played hero in the Oakland Athletics' 3-2 victory Tuesday over the Minnesota Twins, the designated hitter was giggling in the clubhouse, cell phone in hand.
A text message caught Thomas' eye, sent from former White Sox teammate Mark Buehrle. Three simple words: ''You're a stud.''

Frank needs to get off the cell phone and focus on keeping his white shoes clean.

That's classic! But I thought Franks teammates hated him? No teal.

They do. He was and is a clubhouse cancer. He shouldn't have been upset by anything that OG or KW said to the press about him and should not have spoken his feelings about anything at all.

Shouldn't that have been "u r a Stud! L8er"? These guys really need to learn some text etiquette.

I thought that was hilarious!!! GO FRANK!!!!! BEAT THOSE TWINS!!!!!

Even though it hurts to see Frank in the playoffs in another uniform I can still understand why he's in Oakland now.

I don't blame him or the White Sox for this situation. The White Sox made the right decision based on his history of injuries.

We also needed a left-handed bat in the lineup. I still wish he could've finished his career in Chicago.

I'm not upset at us acquiring Thome at all. I was always a big fan of his when he was with Cleveland and Philadelphia because he was always such a nice guy, a left-handed power hitter, and from Illinois.

With that said, I still look forward to being in Cooperstown when Big Frank gets inducted as a CHICAGO WHITE SOX player.

Please, Mark just wants Frank to put in a good word for him so he too can play for the great Billy Beane. He has read money ball, he knows how much more awesome Beane is than KW and Oakland hasn't banned tarp sliding yet.

Buerhle sent that text message so Frank will take Mark up on his invitation to go duck hunting in the off-season......

That's funny because, I got a text from Mark moments after that saying not to worry, the team has it's work cut out for them, but he was confident that they can turn it around with this last home stand. He promised an exciting end to the 2006 season.

Maybe now Mark wants to go play in Oakland with Frank instead of St. Louis.

Mark is a nice guy, now he should text message KW and tell him to bring back wet tarp sliding because that is why we didn't make the playoffs (no teal).

Ugh. Nothing irritates me more than yuppies in the clubhouse yapping incessantly on their cell phones!

That's classic. The man love is uproarious.

Shouldn't that have been "u r a Stud! L8er"? These guys really need to learn some text etiquette.

Actually, no space between the "u" and the "r." And substitute as many letters as possible with various keyboard symbols.

So:
If Buerhle paid proper attention to textspeak...

"ur @ $+ud! L83r."

Gosh. Get it right, guys. :D:

I fixed the last sentence of your post - if Frank wins a Ring with the freakin' A's , I hereby bet you one cute picture of a Kitten that They induct him in to Cooperstown wearing Green & Yellow, rather than Sox pinstripes.

No Teal.

(If anyone gets confused when reading this post, it will help them to know that my personal motto is "Just because you know that you're Paranoid, it doesn't mean that They're not all out to get you"....)

That's pure insanity. ONE year over a HUGE career??? Even if he wins three in a row with the A's, he still goes in with a Sox hat.

1) I am aware that the extent of my Paranoia verges on being Sectionable (it is a result of being a Soccer fan - you come to expect that Very Bad Things will happen to you & to your team);

2) I'm only betting one cute picture of a Kitten, not any cash. I may very well be Mad, but I'm not stupid.

They may not want to decide between the Sox and A's and just throw a Yankees hat on him. In 50 years everyone will think he was a Yankee anyway.

Well, if he played in Chicago for most of his career, then the only realistic jersey that he should be inducted to the hall with is a Cubs jersey!!!

No one would even recognize a Sox uniform anyway, so if he is going to represent one of the best players in the city's history, he should go in as a cub, end of discussion.

win 3 WS in a row?? as a major contributor say batting 3 or 4 in a 3 year stretch of WS??
i think that you could make an argument for an a's cap if that happened.
