Agreed. As usual, MLB has no clue how to schedule games. They should realize that if they want West Coast viewers to tune in, it's probably not a good idea to have games during the normal workday. I would imagine the FOBB are going to be pissed. That said, it's going to be nice watching Big Frank smash those ****ers into the ground this week.

I think there's been a mistake. All the Yankees games are in the evening.

I cannot wait for a season to come along in which the Yankees fail to make the playoffs.

The only silver lining for the Twins winning the division is that I safely can root for the Tigers to beat the Yankees.

I hope to see a Detroit - Oakland ALCS, for no other reason than to see ESPN and FOX crap their collective pants.

The Padres play 1:00 games which is nice so they got something correct.

Also, congrats to Geoff Blum for helping the Pads win the division; although a White Sox for only a few months you'll always be remembered for the WS home run.

Geez. Lemme guess without even looking at the schedule: Yankees & Mets at 7pm every night on Fox, everyone else - too bad.

Yankees and Mets play in the largest market in the country and have a massive following across the land. Why shouldn't their games be in prime time? Say the Oakland game started at 6:00 PM, Pacific time. That game wouldn't start until 10:00 on the East coast. Its a lose-lose situation when both teams are on opposite sides of the country. Someone is going to get screwed. Even if they pushed the Eastern games back to 8:00 PM, it would still be 4:00 out west.

Solution? Shrink the country...

I'll be at the Tigers-Yankees game one tomorrow night. A buddy of mine had an extra one to spare. Go Tigers!

Sure, some of their games should be in prime time--just not ALL of them.
And your times are off by an hour. When it's 6:00 Pacific, it's 9:00 Eastern and when it's 8:00 Eastern, it's 5:00 Pacific.

So what would be the big deal if they started Pacific games an hour earlier? Then the West Coast Games would start at 5 and start in the East at 8. And the East Coast games--at least some of them--could start at 4:00 or 5:00, which would be 1:00 or 2:00 out West.

We can carve out Wyoming, Nebraska, Idaho, the Dakotas, Iowa, Utah, and Minnesota and push everything else over.

Looks like I won't be watching a nansecond of post season play. I'll use my time better...like watching tapes of the Sox through the seasons.

Agreed! The Yankees and Mets games are the logical choice to be primetime games.
I don't see what the fuss is...
