Due to the theme for PH7, I'm going to give my own little opening.

4 notes are heard, they are heard again in the same order. During this time, a comet is seen flying towards a ringed planet.

Ba Ba baaa, ba ba ba ba baaaaaaa ba ba! Ba Ba baaa, ba ba ba ba baaaaaaa ba ba!

Space, the final frontier, these are the voyages of the Palehose 7. Her 162 game mission to explore the diamond. To seek out new players and new enemies. To boldly go where no ball club has gone before.

*now hum either TNG or TOS theme* (I'll go with TOS theme)

He's just taking a break in the offseason, from what I understand, and only updating when there's something worth it.

I don't blame him for not pulling comics out of his ass while the team is idle through the Playoffs.

to pay for a subscription or a printed collection. I'd pay 10 bucks for a subscription and $40 for a book. Let him know he can make some serious coin. He could also sell prints of characters and strips. I'd even build the site and setup the e-commerce for him. If anyone knows this guy, tell him to post here and ask for help.

Yeah, I just noticed that too. It does indeed appear to be a golden pie tin with an X-shaped symbol in the middle. The symbol almost looks like the X-Men emblem.

Captain Hand back.

Palehose 7 starts today with the first of a three-part prologue. Check it out Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week.

I hope you like it. I didn't worry too much about goofy punch lines and jokes with this prologue. The prologue is more focused on us, the fans, and the high we felt in 2005, the disappointment that was 2006, and the desire to see the Sox get back what we all enjoyed in 2005. Iím pretty sure you will recognize the lunatics on Planet Palehose. Take a look.

Stay warm, be cool,

Much like last year's avant guard skull and bones which happened to spell SOX, this also spells SOX if you look at it closely with the S formed by the outside edge of the circle and the inner markings which also form the outside edge of the O and then the center of the O is the X. At least that is how I see it.

I'm not a big fan of the Palehose this year... it seems like it is written more from a perspective of someone who doesn't like the Sox... Each strip has been a dig on someone from our team. I know it's supposed to be funny and whatever, but seriously... I don't enjoy reading about A.J. being a "wonderfully smelling turd" or making Buehrle seem like a crybaby for being hit in the arm. Buehrle did come running off the mound for the ball, it's not like he layed down and started crying like a baby, which most of us would have!

My interpretation of the strip's "message" is "Don't get so worked up over the team's current woes." The zombies are all worked up demanding more pie. The regular guy just wants to enjoy the summer, some good food at the Cell, and if the Sox win it's a bonus.

The middle of the strip is less obvious. It may refer to Ozzie's comments about being fired a couple days ago. I don't get the significance of the moose at all.

[edit] I just noticed, the regular guy looks like a self-portrait (http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger/7577/1975/1600/531182/carlbig.jpg) of Carl.

I don't know, I kind of think that it signifies that they're done.
Obviously the bottom fell out, that makes sense (and that was how Ozzie ended up at the end of Palehose6)
As for the pie, I think it shows that fans are starting to forget about the chances of competing (getting more pie) this year, and are going to just focus on playing out the season. The guy gives up on asking for more pie and just settles with a nice dog at the park.

Not confusing - Moose is Mike Mussina's nickname.

I think the last panel is commenting on the ludicrousness of the whole situation, especially considering Ozzie's "have fun" statement.

Not one, but two new one's. Thought it was going "3 parter."

Ozzie in a hula skirt, with ukulele and lei I HAVE to get on a T-shirt. Carl, for the love of all Sox and Hawai'i lovers everywhere, please do this shirt! :)

Eh? Hawai'i is actually spelled that way properly. Us "Howlies" on the mainland drop out the apostrophy, due to being "improper" grammar.

And it's "haole," not "howly."

Ah. Thanks for the correction on the spelling, and I gotcha on the "one's."

Finally, a signature I can be proud of.Really? I think that 99% of WSI posters will have no idea what it refers to. Be proud.

carl took down the comments part of the blog, I guess do to the racist posts from a few cub fans over the weekend. Carl is definitely on a roll lately, this is by far the funniest comic strip I have ever read.

Yeah, I was thinking that the comments were way out of line. Making jokes on race is never funny, and Carl didn't need some snapperheads causing him grief.

Palehose 7 is now one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life. Carl is kicking it up a notch. Brilliant stuff.
