How much coin did everyone spend this year following this team. From tickets to dogs to gas, airfare, hotels, shirts, hats, parking, etc. Take a guess. Or any baseball for that matter.

So you gave up your season tickets for next year?

I'm going to bring my Concession Tracker to the game and start adding up the costs. If I had to ballpark it right now, I would say $3000 (this covers me, my wife and the little one).

Well let's see. Try to work this out with ballpark (HA!) figures:
27 game package - $750
25 more random games - $900
Deposit for next year/playoff tickets - $340
50 Kosher dogs - $150 (allowing for a couple dollar dog nights)
40 Polish Sausages - $170
15 orders of nachos - $70
30 large sodas - $150
Parking - $300
Other misc. food - $200
Total - Ah...let's just call it $3,000.

Alot... but I would have gladly spent more in the post season.

[all figures in Canadian currency]

Game tix = approx $150 (8 games)
Food/drinks = approx $200 (8 games)
Flight to the BURGH = $150 (one way as it turned out)
Hotel in the BURGH = approx $200?
SUV Rental for drive back to Toronto from the BURGH = $100?
Uproariously overpriced Dick Allen jersey as solace for a failed season and all the commemorative gear that would have been purchased after the playoffs = $350 (mercy!)

Grande Totale = approx. $1150 CDN ($1028 US)

Not much- I couldn't get tickets to most games I wanted and couldn't afford season tickets.

There's always next year. I'm hoping maybe people will get off the bandwagon next year and I can go to more games.

I'm pretty sure I've spent at least $1500 on beer.

I liked this (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=61754&highlight=world+series+merchandise) thread better last year

Lets see...I went to 20 games at U.S. Cellular Field. I paid my way into 7 of them (my dad bought season tickets, and no I am not a spoiled teenage brat). I dropped probably $200 for tickets. I probably spent $225 more on concessions, plus I bought player shirts of Jim Thome, Joe Crede, another World Champions t-shirt, and a mess of other items, probably totaling $75.

So all in all, I probably spent around $500 on the Sox this year. To you people with steady jobs and who are out of college, that may not seem like a lot, but I'm 17. I'd say 90% of the money I earned that didn't go in a bank went towards following the Sox.

I'm just going to say that it is definitely at least 10% of my salary, so I guess the White Sox really are my religion. :o:

Same here. I ended up going to Baltimore, KC, TB & Seattle. First three were winners (although Sox played just well enough to win) and unfortunately I was at last night's debacle. Hopefully, next year I can get ticket to Boston or New York.

I went to two games, paid for neither ticket. Paid 15 in parking (split the exorbitant 30 bucks down the middle) and bought three glasses of wine ($18), five beers ($28.75) and two churros ($5). Another game I had two polish, a deli pickle and a diet pepsi ($12.50).

Grand total $79.25. :bandance:

Food for Pat's tailgate. $10.

Beer for Pat's tailgate. $9.

Parking for the tailgate-$10.

Tixs for four of the games in Anaheim. Free.

Let's see...

27 game package=$465
Food and beer inside park ($20/game*33 total games attended)=$660
Parking for games I drove to= $90
El fare for remaining 20 games seen at Cell= $80
Baseball and travel related expenses (excluding concessions) for trip to Boston=$500
Following the most disappointing MLB team in 2006=Priceless

So in all, $1,800. Damn.

EDIT: Check that, I sold all of my Cubs/Sox at the Cell plus an extra pair of Opening Night tickets I had, so when you subtract the money from the sale of those tickets, the total amount spent is closer to $1600.

I really do not want to do the math and figure out how much I spend on just churros alone. :P

I've been to 29 games this year (had the Hit & Run season ticket plan), bought some concessions, as well as a couple drinks. I'd say I've spent roughly $1,000 on the Sox this year.

Wow! Hangar banned himself from Comiskey! I thought I would never see the day.

Thanks for being such a loyal fan Hangar. Don't stop believing.

10 games. After tickets, parking, tailgating, concessions, we'll say it averaged about $80 a game. We'll go with a $800.

I would say in all including my season tickets, 4 trips, consessions, patio parties, etc. I probably spent about 10K. :o: Plus the money I had to put up for Playoff/2007 tickets.

Just guessing, but including my trip to Chicago for COTC II, spring training games and related activities, souvenirs (couple of jerseys, bunch of T-shirts, caps, etc., for myself and as gifts), bets, food and drink in sports bars, probably at least $1,000.

whitesoxwilkes

Probably about $3500. Lighter than years past since the longest homestand of the season was when we were on our honeymoon.

Half on a Full Season Plan = $2400
My own 27 game plan = $1400

Probably attended 45 games and spent at least $60 per game = $2700

Trips to Cleveland, Cincinnati and Detroit. At least $2500.

One game in Scout Seats (worth every penny) $325 off of Ebay.

Extra Elvis Night tix for my Ma and I from Stubhub $200.

3 new 81/4 White Sox game caps from The Grandstand. $78

:o:

And I'm hollering at my wife for spending $150 on our daughter for her homecoming dance. :?:

Nice. I wonder if I can use that. We do have freedom of religion, right? Hell, Susan Sarandon said that she belongs to the "Church of Baseball" in Bull Durham. It has to be church, cause it sure as hell wasn't entertainment this year! We might be on to something here.
