I'd much rather be where we are at than where they are at:
Angry O's fans (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AgjCxR6uKjG.rOVlxIJCcCgRvLYF?slug=ap-orioles-fanprotest&prov=ap&type=lgns)

The rally was organized by Nestor Aparicio, owner of radio station WNST-AM and the nephew of former Oriole shortstop Luis Aparicio.

Awesome idea by these fans, but Angelos is such a blockhead that he won't do anything about it.

Between 1960 and 1985 the Orioles had exactly 2 losing seasons. Their 18 year winning streak (1968-1985) is I believe the second longest in MLB history. During that long era of excellence they won 7 Division titles, 6 AL pennants and 3 WS championships. The Orioles were probably the best run MLB franchise then, their whole operation from the minor leagues on up was an example of how to do it right. The Orioles combined great pitching, solid defense, and timely hitting to give their fans a lifetime of thrills. No wonder that so many of them are now sick to their stomachs.

I'd rather be where we are than fans of about 20 other franchises.

One thing you can say about Angelos. He has yet to sink the franchise to the depths they achieved when they were in St. Louis.

Agreed and that is what I tell myself everytime I start to get down about this year.

The Yankees had 39 straight winning season from 1926 through 1964.

The O's are second with 18 straight, 1968 - 1985.

The Sox are 3rd with 17 in a row, 1951-1967.

When I was a kid I hated when the Sox played the O's. They toyed with us like a cat with a mouse. People like Kenny Williams will keep things like that from happening to the Sox.

I've always been a fan of nobody showing up to a game in protest. If you're angry, let the players play to an empty stadium.
