Not sure a thread has been made about this, but Ive read and heard numerous Sox beat writes hint the Sox may be in the run for Micheal Young. They also stated the price would be high.My question is this ,do you think as Sox fans the Sox would be serious or is just Hot Stove thinking on the writers and fans part .Myself aside from being a big fan of this guy and what he brings to the table would be huge acquisition for the Sox and may be worth really looking into .For sure it would take care of a glaring lead-off problem and your not losing much defensively.

Now you are making some sense. Michael Young would be a nice addition.

Yeah, what? That guy has 18 stolen bases in the last 394 games spanning 4 seasons. His stellar .250 average and approx. 50 RBIs a season isn't anything to write home about either.

What do you think it would take? For sure pitching I'm guessing, and whom.

How realistic is the chance Jerry Owens gets his chance?
The SOX outfield is going to be very crowded in the next 2 years, with Sweeney, Owens and now Fields in the mix

He's also perhaps on the outs with ownership after they basically blamed him as one of the reasons why they weren't better .and he made a somewhat retaliatory statement back at the owner.

Micheal Young would be a great addition to this team, but the cost to get him could be atronomical.

Joe Cowley made the comment on the score ,that he talked to K.W and he believes that the Sox have a small window of keeping everyone around till the 2008 season ,thats when a few key players contracts are up.
