Notice they're last in all AL bullpen innings pitched.

The biggest difference has been the 6th and 7th inning relief this season IMO.

Not to mention the fact that our starters are giving up a full run per game more than they did last season.

I think they were last in this category last year as well. So that doesn't give Cotts and Politte an excuse of being "tired," especially as they were little used in post-season as well. Obviously, Politte was injured, and that's just bad luck, but it doesn't explain Neal's demise, other than that he just pitched over his head last season.

We are 10th in bullpen ERA.

Take a close look at the first three teams. The Yankees have the best offensive line-up, so that gives them some cushion, along with the presence of Rivera at the end of the game.
