Saw on the Tiggers message board. This is the only newspaper article (http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20060915.wstairs15/BNStory/Sports/Baseball/)that came up from a google search.

That'll sure solve their offensive problems. Just what they need! Stairs is a guy who either homers or strikes out when the Tigers need guys who can be situational hitters.

Horrible pickup for Detroit, but good for everybody else.

Stairs did hit a towering shot against the Tigers the other day, which was nice. Hopefully it was his last.

Well, the Tigers are certainly cranking up the Ex-Cub Factor to ridiculous levels. That can only be a good thing. If they manage to track down Augie Ojeda we've got this division wrapped up.
