I think Ozzie needs to start using Cintron to start these last few weeks and pull Uribe off the bench for defense in the later innings. It's already potentially cost us 1-3 runs today. He's been doing it with Mackowiak/Anderson and Mackowiak actually has a crappier BA than Anderson this month. Why not go with the numbers?
Sept.
Cintron Avg. = .368
Uribe Avg. = .135

I would play Cintron more than Uribe. Something like the Anderson and Mackowiak platoon would be nice. Maybe put Ozuna in there as well.

I like Alex but the Uribe-Gooch double play combo is a lot smoother. I think Alex is actually a better second basemen then a shortstop.

I'd Take Uribe. I like Cintron, but his defense, plus Uribes bout the only one on the sox who can lay down a bunt.

I hear your points, but when's the last time Juan executed anything besides falling over after one of his swings?

He's got 2 homers this month.

and NOTHING else.
I'm not saying I hate Juan or think he should never play, but everyone knows he's very streaky and when his streak turns south there's no reason to believe it won't continue for 2 more weeks. It's gone MUCH longer before, this year included.
