Very tempting... only one problem... what if ESPN picks it up as the final reg season game of the year?

Don't fly. It's not too bad of a drive, espcially this time of year with the colors turning. I lived there for 7 years, done the drive 100's of times, usually about 7 hours-almost one tank of petro.

With a car up there, you can get around the Twin Cities, they're real nice. Also you can visit the ballpark at Lexington and Snelling in St. Paul where the St. Paul Saints play (owned by, among others, Mike Veeck and Bill Murray). The ballpark the Saints play in is on the site of the ballpark where the White Sox were organized in the late 1800's before moving to Chicago. Hallowed ground.

Unlikely unless one of the teams changes its name to "Red Sox" or "Yankees."

I'm considering going. I'd probably drive though, I need a road trip anyway.
What scares me is that the Twins have 18 games left; Liriano and Santana are set up to pitch 8 of those. :(:

The thought of not spending $300 to go and to sit on my butt and watch it on FOX in HD: Priceless

And I was THIS close to buying tix and driving that Friday night...

From what I can tell, it is possible to stay at the Hilton by the airport and take one train to that ****hole they call a stadium. Can anyone verify this?

I'm almost positive that there aren't any night games on the last day of the season. ESPN usually just has an extended Baseball Tonight on, going over the regular season and breaking down the playoff matchups.

I know last year the Yanks and Red Sox played on the last game of the season and that was a day game.

That is correct - assuming you can get from the Hilton over to the Literail station by the Mall of America. I believe it's a short walk. Call the hotel to confirm.

I'm planning on heading up there with a couple of buddies.

We're planning on the Saturday and Sunday Sox games, as well as the Minnesota v. Michigan game on Sat. night.

I'll be there with 4 friends, we're staying the Grand, 129 a night and you can walk to the park. As the date nears we should pick a meeting place before the game. Strength in numbers, I always say.

Does anyone have any extra decent seats for Friday or Saturday? I am looking for 2 for Friday and 3 for Saturday and they only have upperdeck online.
Thanks!

I was up in Minnesota visiting my brother the last time the Sox played the Twins this summer. We just bought our seats on the street. It was bizzare since scalping is legal there. We payed $80 a seat and sat in the second to last row behind homeplate. It was pricey, but well worth it. It was fun to watch the guys in batting practice.
