Just for that, I hope Redding gets a callup when the playoffs are over. I know, the Sox don't call up players they don't plan to use, but c'mon -- if he can throw a complete-game shutout in the playoffs he might be worth having around for an emergency.

With Sweeney's callup, Razor moved Gonzalez to the OF, and Lopez was recalled to play 2B. Despite a decimated roster, they could have a chance if they keep getting great starting pitching like this.

Good to see Redding pitch such a great game, and in the playoffs no less. He was a top Astros prospect for a while...IIRC he and Oswalt were pretty much ranked 1-2 in the organization coming up through the minors. He used to throw hard but had control issues...wonder if he might thrive if given another shot in the bullpen. Anyone know if he still has a decent heater?
