I just got an email from the Sox asking what I thought was a better start time for Friday games...the "old" 7:05 or the current 7:35.

It doesn't make much of a difference to me since I live downtown, but what do you all think?

I wish they'd go back to 2 PM starts on Sundays. Hopefully that'll be a question for a future survey.

I'm with you. I liked the later Sunday starts, mainly because it gives me more time for tailgating. I also like the later Friday starts.

I voted for the 705 and 105 times respectively. I like to be able to go out on my Friday nights after games, and the later start time cuts into that, especially in terms of trying to catch late movies and things. As for Sunday, I don't want a gap that is hard to fill. Usually I get up, go get breakfast, and by that time it's about time to head to the game.

It really doesn't matter to me, but I like the earlier Friday starts so I can get home and get some sleep if I have to ump at 9am the next morning.

The Friday thing doesn't matter to me because I don't go to Friday night games often. I suppose if I did and was coming from the suburbs, I'd want 7:35. When I'm watching on TV, I forget that I have another half hour to wait for the game to start.

For Sunday, I definitely prefer 1:05. Get in early, get out early, and get home before 6.

I liked the 7:05 for Friday--for some reason, the extra 30 minutes seems to throw off my entire schedule. 1:05 is a lot better on Sundays--it doesn't seem to cut into the rest of my day as much.

Coming from the SW side, I definitely prefer the 7:35 starts on Fridays. More time finish things up at work, deal with the Ryan, and get to the game.

Sunday day games don't really matter to me, but I said 2pm just because 1pm is closer to noon, which is closer to 11am, which is too early.

I liked the old 7:05 Friday night starts, as well as the 2:05 Sunday starts.

The Friday start time doesn't matter to me, but I looooove the 2:05 Sunday starts. IMO, there is a huge difference between leaving at 9:30am or 10:30am on a Sunday morning after a Saturday night.

Later on both days, more tailgating and more time to get down there.

The survey the Sox emailed me only asked about Friday games.

I wish I could have done a write-in vote for:

Any time of the day in the month of October!:D:

Yeah, I was also only asked about Fridays. But I figured I'd throw Sundays out there too.

I voted 7:05 friday but after some thinking a later start is better. One, you have more time to fight the traffic on the worlds greatest freeway system. Two, more time to tailgat and get a bite to eat if your not eating inside the stadium to save on expenses.

1:05 starts sunday if i'm not working sundays next season. I will be able to go to the gym and church in the morning and miss the opening innings which usually don't interest me as much because I live in California and have to watch tv. If I lived in Chicago, then 2:05 would be better.

The 735 start on friday is definitely better...gives you more time to get to the game while dealing with all the friday congestion on the ryan and the trains.

Also, the 205 sunday start is definitely better, it gives you some time to get yourself together after a late sat night. :D:

735 and 205. 735 starts rock. Gives ya some time to go home take a nap and eat dinner to start your long night. i could personally careless about sunday since i dont go on sundays, but 205 would be much better for obvious reasons of sleeping in late

No question for me. 7:35 on Fridays. Coming from Arlington Hts is a tough drive all the way in. I bought my ozzie package with 90% of the games for Friday night because of the 7:30 start.

I like the 1 pm sunday starts for the same reason. I can get home a decent hour and still enjoy my Sunday evening before heading back to work on Monday.

I prefer the 7:05. I work downtown. I also prefer the 2:05 Sunday, I like to relax on Sunday AM.

My favorite of all games to watch the the tube have to be the 6:05 EST starts.

I like the 7:05 start time on Friday. I work downtown and get off work around 4:30. What the heck am I supposed to do for three hours?

I prefer the earlier Sunday start as well.

Not everyone works downtown and can get to the field in 20 minutes. I like 7:35 and 2:05.

I like the 7:05 on Fridays since I pick the Mrs. up downtown and we head right to the game when we have Friday games.

I like the 1:05 on Sunday because I can still get home at a decent hour. Traffic heading down the Stevenson can be a royal pain on a Sunday afternoon/evening.
