In a few weeks a new one hour documentary on the life and times of Harry Caray will air on PBS.

I had the chance to talk to the executive producer of it last week. I have also seen an advanced copy of the show.

My conversation with Noel Gimble and my impressions of the show can be found on the main page at WSI under the heading, Holy Cow! A Harry Documentary!

I hope you enjoy the review and will make plans to watch the show.

I'll watch the schedule for the show and make sure it gets Tivo'd if I can't watch it.

I will make it a point to watch and/or record this too. I read your interview, Lip, and I was dismayed to learn that 10-15 minutes or so had to be cut to make it fit a one-hour time slot. Any chance that a "director's cut" will be made to restore the lost portions?

Lip - correction in your article. Harry passed away in February 1998

I assume this will just be on WTTW--not national?

Thanks on the correction. Regarding local or national I got the sense that eventually all PBS stations will have the choice of airing this. That's why I stated in the story to check local schedules.
