Just left the game with an injured back. Hopefully this is just a precaution and he'll be playing tomorrow.

Probably from all that swinging and missing the last few days.

How many times has he swung and missed?. Not saying he sucks. Just a lot of fanning the last few days.

When a batter like Dye starts to slump suddenly, it's more than likely that he's injured. Ahhhh..... fudge. This sucks.

Instead of going with Ross Gload on Tuesday night, though, Guillen spoke after Monday's game of giving rookie Ryan Sweeney his first Major League start against Boston rookie southpaw Kason Gabbard.

Pods would need a back brace if swinging and missing caused that.

About a week ago, I would say that Dye was the best canidate for MVP, however the way that the Sox have been nose-diving and the way that New York is playing, I would have to give the MVP to Jeter.

I know, it sucks saying that, but as of right now, I think Jeter deserves it more, not much more, but right now, you have to tip your cap.

There is still a month to go, we will see what happens. Hopefully Dye can pull a Phoenix and rise from the ashes and go ape**** for the final month!!!

I'm excited to see Sweeney out there, I just hope its not Ozuna, Mack, Sweeney. It will be Ozuna and Sweeney though.

Just a thought, is it possible that Dye is having a mini slump and they basically made up this injury to sit him and get his mind right?

I could be way off base, but Ive heard this before about players.

I doubt this. I would just rather see Sweeny out there instead of G-Load.

No way. 97% of Pods outs are fastballs right down the middle taken for strike 3.

Good. What's the point in calling up a top-end outfield prospect to let him sit on the pine or pinchrun? So you can see how awesome he is at sliding into second on double plays???

Based on how Ozzie has handled other players not-so-mini-slumps this season, I doubt this is the case. Something definitely is off though, either physically or mentally, because he went from hottest hitter in the league to looking completely lost at the plate in one day.
