out 2-3 weeks:
"Barrett was injured by Matt Cain (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7495/)'s foul tip in the fifth inning Saturday. He left the game after batting the next half-inning. Barrett went to the emergency room and an ultrasound showed bleeding inside his scrotum. Surgery took less than an hour, O'Neal said. "

He's a BA, he can take it. Remember this is the tough guy that held down AJ's hands so he could cheap shot punch him in the face, but then was taken down in about 2 seconds by a scrawny leadoff hitter.

It's a shame.
You never wanna see people get hurt...

That is, unless they're a whiny ******* like Barrett.
HA HA HA, **** YOU BARRETT!

"intra-scrotal hematoma"

That sounds like a term Marcus Welby might toss around.
"I'm sorry,Mrs.Anderson, but your husband has an
intra-scrotal hematoma".

:b&b
"Heh,heh,you said 'scrotal' ".

How could that be since the guy has no balls?

I just discussed this with my husband, and neither of us can understand how this didn't hurt like hell when it happened. We're assuming that he was wearing a cup, and the foul hit him in the cup. But it took him a half-inning to figure out he was in pain? :?:

From the "lowlight" they showed of Barrett getting hit you could see that it hurt immediately. But my guess is that as the blood continued to accumulate in an, umm, confined area, there was increasing, umm, discomfort. (I'm analogizing to a subdural hematoma, where a blow to the head results in blood accumulating under the skull. Sometimes it re-absorbs on its own, but if not, surgery is needed to give the blood a way out and relieve the pressure.)

Okay, I'll buy that. Kind of sounds like something you'd hear Dr. Rogers of Law and Order say on the witness stand!

blahahahha.... my girlfriend said THE SAME EXACT THING about Juan Pierre... it went a little something like this:

DJF's GF: who is that guy? He looks 12!

DJF: That's Juan Pierre, I think he is about 29 or 30...

DJF's GF: He looks like a baby...

DJF: Yea, he's got a baby face.

DJF's GF: oh, that's right, he plays for the Cubs so his balls haven't fallen yet...

DJF: (wets himself laughing)

Mike has one left and he better act accordingly.

Wow. Karma's a bitch.

VERY FIRST thing that I thought of when I heard about it!

I used to never believe in karma and the whole "what comes around, goes around". But the more life experiences that I have had, the more I am starting to believe it.

Way to go Michael Barrett!!! Couldn't happen to a bigger piece of ****!!! You deserve all the pain you get you loser! Here's to hoping that your career is at the very least, severly affected!!!:gulp: :supernana:

Wow yourself buddy! Geez. Have you ever noticed all the gramatical errors on this site? Not just in the posts, but in the actual "articles" and "reviews" that appear on the front page?? Apparently not.

And if you are defending Michael Barrett in any way, well then all I must say is WOW!

How could you not wish the worst for this guy? Oh wait, your from Iowa, didn't mean to hit your soft spot.

Sometimes when you take one to the coin purse, it's not immediate pain. It kind of sneaks up on you. A minute or so after impact it hits you like a ton of bricks.

In a 14" softball game, I was rounding third and heading towards home when the relay throw came to the catcher (blocking the base path). The catcher kinda had to stretch out of the base path to catch the ball, but his legs were still in my way. I decided to hurdle his legs for some reason. In mid-leap, the catcher thrust the ball directly into my unprotected bean bag. I was out, of course, and spent the next few minutes trying not to throw up.

Yeah, but a half-inning? :?:

He's been behind the plate for most of the season catching Cubs pitchers... He's seen balls hit 40 times harder than he got hit.

First of all, who the **** are you to call me out like that? I didn't say a THING to warrant it. You, on the other hand, made a completely moronic post. I don't give a **** who the player is and what team he plays for, I never wish injury on ANYONE. It's called class, which judging from your last 2 posts in here, you have yet to discover.

And what does that Iowa comment mean? I was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, I go to the University of Iowa. What the **** does it matter where I, or anyone for that matter, lives?

It's bull**** like this that makes WSI, mainly the What's the Score, nearly unreadable. It's a shame, because a few dumb posters like yourself ruin the site for everyone else, not to mention the reputation of Sox fans everywhere, including *gasp* Iowa.

Wishing injury on someone then calling me out because of where I live...Take that **** and shove it. I'm done.

Oh, and it's YOU'RE. Spell check is your friend.
