Thought this really sumed out what it all comes down to.

A little rough on Vaz's outing, but overall spot on. It probably won't be pretty, but here goes nothin'....:bandance:

Yeah, *** was this about-- "...bailed the delusional Javier Vazquez out of another sleepy outing..."

Vazquez gave up two runs in six innings. It was an excellent outing, why call it "sleepy"? Is the writer more interested in turning a clever phrase than in being accurate? Sorry, he lost me there.

I question that as well as saying Mack needs more at bats against right handed pitchers. Well if that means he needs to play more centerfield, I couldn't disagree more.

I think he was advocating benching Pods and platooning Mack and Ozuna in LF.

Hey lay off Mac! Vasquez seemed like he was in a tight spot all the time, and getting batters in an 0-2 count and then walking them. He was lucky to only have given up 2 runs.

September is not for the feint of heart.

And it's not for the faint of heart either. Are there no editors left, wielding their red pencils?

That was a misplaced cheap shot against Vazquez. I'm the first one to call him on his all too frequent lousy starts; this wasn't one of them.

Vazquez pitched very well, and he pitched out of trouble, and that's been his weak spot all year -- so it was quite a GOOD outing for JV.

Is it wrong to hope Mackowiak tweeks a hammy and Ozzie is forced to play Anderson all the time?

I was at the game when Anderson got hit by a pitch, and my first thought (sadly before worrying about Brian's well being) was "Oh God, RM will be in center for the rest of the year!" Thankfully, Brian was OK.

Yes. Do you really want to weaken our bench?

September callups. Mack can take off.

That was my fear too. That welt was the size of a Volkswagen.
