Good news- Liriano pitches off mound for the first time since going down.
Bad news- Radke's shoulder still sore after cortisone shot and is being pushed back from his scheduled sat start against the yanks.

If Liriano has no soreness and throws from the mound again this weekend, how long of a rehab, spring training type re-start to his season take?

I say he is not stretched out for starting til late sept- just in time for the sox.

Radke? He is on fumes and if he sits much longer he will not be ready to go beyond 5 innings when he does come back.

I think they should just shut them both down for the duration. For their sake.

This is probably double bad news for the Twins.

Liriano has a gifted arm, and he doesn't need to be pushing it, playoffs or no playoffs. Even so, if he's rushing himself into the rotation and his mechanics are changed, he could screw his confidence up.

Radke should be going under the knife. You can't just keep putting bandaids on this injury.

Things are just not good for the Twins right now.

The time table I saw projected Liriano back to the Twins in mid September.

Radke is day to day.

We'll see.

If I'm not mistaken, they've already said that if Liriano comes back, it will be in the bullpen.
