Why is Owens alowed to play for the Knights when the Sox just recalled him to MLB and placed him on the 15-day DL?

Good to see Cassel have some success in high A. I think him and Mcculoch should be fun to watch there next season.

How do we overlook Haeger's [14-6] as a possible starter next year? Phillips too? They must be doing something right.

Knowing KW, they're probably tradebait.

Phillips had a real good start, but has struggled the last month or two. Haeger has had only one real rough stretch all season, but has been domiant besides 4 or 5 starts this year.

I agree with maurice...they're probably just trade bait, more than anything else.

I dont know about you guys, but I think Haeger could possibly give us more quality starts than Javy and/or Freddy has.

Actually, I'd like to see Haeger as a reliever. Of course, he probably could not be counted on to come in with runners on base, but I'll bet he could find success starting the seventh eighth inning (perhaps sandwiched between Thornton/MacDougal and Jenks). If the Sox call him up Friday, he also could be a great change of pace reliever to come in to start the sixth inning when Vazquez starts and throws five solid innings. As long as Haeger could throw the knuckler for strikes, he could have as much success as Shingo did when he was able to get ahead of batters.

Phillips was good enough to get the call from USA Baseball and the other guy's 14-6 in AAA. Maybe one of these guys makes Javy and Garcia expendable to the point where we can help ourselves in other places. Would anyone here object to Garcia and Uribe for Jimmy Rollins? How about Garcia, Pods and Rogowski for Carl Crawford? I appreciate they all won't pan out in the show but is there another Burls lurking in the minors? If so, doesn't that allow KW to be more creative and keep the payroll relatively sane? Just wondering.
