Sweeney certainly is having a fine second half. He could probably stand another half year at AAA, but I sense that maybe the Sox are thinking of having him play left next season. One of the few bright spots (along with Fields) of a bleak season down on the farm.

Its going to be interesting because Fields and Sweeney both seem like they are ready for the bigs and there seems to be only one spot open. Im thinking they will battle for it in spring training and winner gets the position.

Fields could use more time in AAA, and he would need more time in AAA if the Sox plan to use him in an OF spot. His K-rate is still way too high, so hopefully he'll be able to work on that.
