Last 5 games:
Thome 4/18
PK 5/20
Dye 4/18
That's 9/47 or a .191 average. That's not going to get it done no matter what kind of pitching we get.

If your individual numbers are right, thats 13/56 or a .232 average. Also not very good, but correct.
The whole lineup stinks right now, not just the 3-4-5 combination.

You can add Crede's 4 for 31 over the last 8 games into that as well.
Poopy.

I think Uribe is 6-for-30 as well. They all stink right now. It isn't any one guy.

ouch.
Yes, the Sox pitching is the key their success. But, you take faltering pitching and combine that with a muted offense and that's just brutal.
Time for the REAL Sox offense and pitching to show up - NOW. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

"Where's the offense?'
That's a great question. It's not the first time this season the 'vaunted' offense has disappeared for a stretch.
That's what happenes when it's 'home run or nothing' baseball.

Not only do those numbers but whenever there are runners in scoring position absolutely no one can drive them in, it is disgusting. LETS GO WHITE SOX

I just heard on the pregame show, moments ago, Ed Farmer proclaim that the top of the order and the bottom of the order have to pick it up, and our 3-4-5 guys have to keep doing what they're doing. Immediately the though came in to my head of the 8th inning last night, when Thome and Paulie came up with 2 men on and nobody out and they ended the inning for us. Everyone, especially the middle of our order, needs to pick it up.
