I mean come on, every time I watch a Cards highlight involving him pitching he gives up like 7 runs.

Why doesn't any team realize he's bad? I guess there's a reason he only got a one year deal. I'd be surprised if anyone gives him anything more than half what he's making this year.

He pitched really well in one game recently...he might have taken the loss, but he only gave up one or two runs. Of course, even Javier Vazquez can do that from time to time for even more money than Weaver will make next season.

I don't know, it seems that he has pitched a few good games lately. I'm not a big fan of his, but I can see him getting a contract from someone if he does well the rest of the season.

Managerial Myopia is the grad-school term. Every company (team) thinks its management can do better with a project than everyone else. Weaver is beyond a project, he's washed up. I for one won't miss him.
