Per today's tribune:

Class time

Third baseman Chris Duffy, the Sox's ninth-round pick in last June's amateur draft from Cypress Creek High in Orlando, attended classes Monday at the University of Central Florida. That makes him ineligible to sign with the Sox unless they select him in a future draft.

Too bad, as he was a high-ceiling prospect who had a lot of potential.

He can't be that great if UCF is making him attend his own classes... :D:

I was half-awake when I read that this morning and thought we had traded for Chris Duffy, the outfielder on the Pirates.

That is a shame, but predictable. Is there any word on Dunbar or Kapteyn?

Can't fault a young man for wanting to pursue an education.

I think moreso he wanted to go higher in the draft and make more money.

Can't fault him for that either. :D:
