Statistically, he's regressed from his AAA numbers in BIRM. Control still an issue ala Corwin Malone.

Apparently, the organization still believes his arm/talent/potential is worth the patience.

Has anyone seen him pitch this season since we picked him up? What's the buzz?

And while we're at it, we might as well give him another pitch and make him a starting candidate, we have nothing to lose. We're lacking in that area right now in terms of depth.

The pitchers an organization sends to the AFL is usually not too telling. It's a hitter's league at the end of a long season. Unless a prospect is coming off a shortened season due to injury, most organizations don't send their premium pitchers. For instance, the Sox are going to send Broadway or... Well, they're not sending Broadway.
