I wont ever bet on the Bears or the Sox. I love to bet and have money on a gambling sites online, but just cant bet on the Sox. It's kinda weird. I think its the fact that I get mad enough when they loose or something.

I was in Vegas in late April. I shopped around at several sportsbooks on the strip and downtown. The best payout at the time was at the Venetian. I put $100 on the Sox to win it all. The odds at the time were 7:1. Interesting that the odds seem to be going against the Sox now if you're getting 8:1 odds.

That is interesting, but they're probably just trying to beef up the action. Last November, I got 10-1 in Laughlin, and I thought that was crappy. (5-1 ALCS) I slapped down $150--$50 on the ALCS and $100 on the WS.

BTW, I plan to collect on both. :cool:

Best of luck to you. Last year right before ST started, my friend put down a $25 bet for me in Vegas for the Sox to win the whole thing at 26 to 1. Needless to say, it was used as a "gift certificate" for my WS purchases.

You can usually mail it to them to get your winnings, and they will send you a check. Only negative is that you have to spend about 30, IIRC to get the insurance and whatnot to send it.
