What Beane is so great at is changing his team with the needs/demands of the market. He finds what is undervalued and finds out ways to exploit it and contend. Now that OBP is so coveted he's had to look for other things.

Yeah, like Esteban Loaiza.

Also, neither Kenny Williams or Billy Beane are the best managers in baseball, Ozzie Guillen is.

Don't forget Bonderman.

Read this if you need more insight into blunders like Octavio Dotel.

KW really has only three obvious "high impact" mistakes (not counting trading for the wrong "Barry/Berry")...Ritchie for Wells/Fogg/Lowe, trading for Royce Clayton and moving Valentin, Foulke for Koch/Cotts (which turned out okay in the end for Sox)

And the jury's definitely still out on the Vazquez deal, looking like the wrong move now but who knows what the future holds for both Young and Vazquez.
