Moyer in NL=good pickup for the Phillies. They realized the WC is in their reach, and they went and got a decent pitcher. I've always been a big Moyer fan, good to see him pitching in a real playoff race.

if the Phillies are looking to make a wild card run, then why were they sellers a few weeks ago?

I hope the Phillies win the wild card. They are my team in the NL because of ARow

I wonder how Moyer will fare out in Philly. He's going from a notorious pitcher's ballpark to a notorious hitter's ballpark. Is Moyer a sinkerballer? If he is, he'll be ok.

I don't know about a sinkerball, but his fastball is Zumaya-esque

Moyer's best pitch is a circle change-up.

WHAT?:?: Minus 20 MPH.

I agree, That's insane. No starters top out at 101 MPH :?:

They certainly are going to be in a much better position to take the WildCard after this. Good move for the Phils.

It pleases me that the sox will not have to face moyer again this season when the m's come to soxpark for 4 games in late sept.

Obviously , in a four game series we probably would have caught him, now , hopefully someone bad from the minors.

Wow, people are really sarcastically-challenged. Some comments have multiple meanings. You'll be more satisfied if you get multiple...meanings, mmkay?

You'll have an interesting decision ahead of you starting tommorow
night. Not only do the White Sox have a 4 day stop over in Motown,
the Phillies come to the Urinal for 4 games,3 of which are 7:05
starts (Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday).Here's hoping Aaron Rowand,
Chase Utley and Ryan Howard like hitting conditions at the Urinal.:gulp:

Should liven up the NLWC race considerably...that awful awful race where the Brewers are five games under .500 and yet are only 4 games out.
