From AP/Newsday:

New York called up righty Jeff Karstens and outfielder Aaron Guiel from Triple-A Columbus and designated righty Sidney Ponson for assignment and optioned righty Brian Bruney to Columbus.

Maybe the Bosox should sign Ponson.

You put in that in teal, but he couldn't be any worse than Beckett, and would come cheaply (well, not including the extra food needed on the postgame spread).
