The Sox turned five double plays in a 9-inning game. I doubt that's a record, but it seems unusually high. I can't remember the last time they had more than three in a game, let alone five.

there was of course the weird record....four lead off home runs in the 1st two innings.....it's hard to imagine that that had never been done before in major league history
