In the print edition of the Cubune which arrived at my home today, they show the Sox having lost the last two games in the "str" column on the standings.

Must be using that same fact-checker who allowed the Eddie Robinson fiasco through.

I saw that too. I just figured that the whole str. column wasn't updated, and I didn't scrutinize it.

I miss Hangar18. Hasn't he served his sentence?

Hangar has elected not to post here after serving out the term of his sentence. He did come to WSI-Fest though.

Hangar has been free to post for months but chooses not to.

Was a fatted calf killed to celebrate his presence?

Spiffie:

No it was supposed to be 90 calves however it never took place due to disagreement over whether or not the 90 calves was a 'legitimate' figure.

:D:

This is news? Of course the Trib has a problem when the White Sox win -- it means their competition might get (gasp!) a bigger following.

The man was run out of this virtual town on a visual rail for having the balls to say what most of us knew or felt.

I just hope he doesn't change sides on us...

Yeah, yesterday they were proclaiming O'Malley's start as part of "baseball mystique". Notice how the Cubune tries to tie anything Cub-related to the idea of "baseball's mystique" as often as possible.

About a month ago, the Cubs gave up an embarassing 2 grand slams in the same inning and the Tribune reported that it's part of Wrigley's mystique and part of the reason why people always want to go to Wrigley. :kukoo:
