View Full Version : Postseason invoice error?

I received my paper invoice for 2006 postseason tickets yesterday. Included with the invoice is a chart listing the price breakdown per ticket for postseason games based upon seating location. When I add up the prices for Upper Reserved (my seat location), I get a cost of $850 per seat. Problem is, my invoice lists $1020 per seat. As near as I can figure, I have been charged as if I have Upper Box seats. I've sent an e-mail to my rep but haven't heard back yet.

Anyone else have any errors with their invoices?

I havent seen my invoice yet but are they charging you for parking also? That could be the discrepency...

Nope, no parking. I don't have season parking and it isn't listed on my postseason invoice. Besides, the cost of parking isn't enough to cover the discrepancy.

Perhaps your seats are considered box seats for the playoffs!

That's the only other possibility I could think of. It seems weird that the seating areas would be restructured for the post season.

now that you mention it, I think the seating structure is different in the post season. What row are you in? I think last year something like everything below row 10 or 11, no matter what section, was upper box, and everthing over that was upper reserved.

Ah, that could be it. I'm in Row 6.

What about sections like 533? Would Row 12 be considered Upper Reserved while Row 8 in Section 507 would be Upper Box?

From what I could remember from last year, yes.

I believe all of 533 is either premium upper or upper box. NO upper reserved in the section.

I was asking about the postseason seating.

Why would it change???

That's what I'm trying to find out!

I'm scouring the net for a 2005 WS seating chart but am not having any luck.

Here, this should work. It's the 2005 postseason seating chart:

Is this right? There are no premium sections in here or did they smush them together for playoffs?

That looks right, the prices look like they have remained the same as well. I'm pretty sure the first price listed is the ALDS price and the second is the ALCS price for each section. That's consistent with the tickets I had last year and from what I can gather from my invoice this year.

In addition to getting the invoice for the postseason, I got the price list for 2007 season tix.

Looks like to renew what I got last year, it's about a 20% premium over 2006.

I received my invoice today, and the pricing was correct for where Iím sitting. My outfield lowered reserved seats turned into upper deck reserve for ALDS, bleachers seats for game 1 of the ALCS, and upper deck box for game1 of the World Series. Not where I want to sit, but at least Iíll be in the park to see the repeat.:gulp:

Damn, where did you find that? I spent an hour searching for an image!

In any event, I vaguely remember this situation from last year. My rep hasn't got back to me yet (I'm guessing they are super busy) but I have a feeling my prices are correct.

Looking at the chart, it looks like the breakdown between Upper Box and Upper Reserve is Row 12. Kind of a scam that someone in 558, Row 12 is Upper Box but someone in 533, Row 13 is Upper Reserve. So it goes...

I may be throwing a wrench into the works here but for game two of the world series last year I sat in section 533, row 18 (I have my ticket stub framed right here in front of me!) and I paid $125. I'm pretty sure that was the Upper Box price, not the Upper Reserved price.

I think $125 was the upper reseved. I paid that same price, and if I remember correctly, those were the cheapest prices for WS tickets.

I just got off the phone with my rep and he confirmed my invoice is correct. He said MLB considers the first 11 rows to be Upper Box, regardless of what section the seats are in. Row 12 and above is considered Upper Reserve. So yes, someone with seats in Section 507, Row 11 will pay $350 more for all 11 games than someone sitting in Section 533, Row 12.:kukoo:
