August 17, 1990- In the second game of a double header at Texas, Carlton Fisk becomes baseballís all time home run leader by a catcher, as he nails a Charlie Hough offering and drives it into the left center field seats. Itís his 328th career shot as a backstop and also establishes himself as the White Sox all time career home run champ on the same swing. The Sox would win the game and get a split on the night.

Ahh my daily dose of Sox history. Too bad, Piazza broke Pudge's record.

On another note, Lip how many times do you get the "why are you off by a day with your information"?

Lip, aren't there about 7,000 members of WSI now, if so I guess you'd better plan on answer the date question approximately 7,000 more times...sigh.......

in any event thanks for another interesting & timely story
