Just got notification on my electronic invoice that my weekend bleacher package is being converted to Sec. 518, Row 9 for the ALDS and Sec. 520 Row 1 for ALCS game 2.

Did you find that out by logging in to your My White Sox account? I certainly haven't heard anything via the email from my season ticket account representative regarding this, and I renewed my season tickets way in last November.

Congrats, where are your seats for the World Series? Seems like MLB, which has control over the ALCS and WS seating gave you better seats then the White Sox did!

That's probably because the White Sox have to also accommodate all Ozzie Plan holders who purchased their plans before Mid-January during the ALDS (I believe they only get one game, IIRC). They don't have to worry about that for the ALCS and World Series, because Ozzie Plan holders will be ineligible for them.

Quick question:

Do the White Sox release SRO tickets for the playoffs? I have a 27-game plan, but I'm hoping to go to more than 1 ALCS game (assuming they make it).

I do not believe there were any SRO tickets for the 2005 playoffs.

Thought so. Just making sure.

There weren't. And, considering the large season ticket base, it's been said by several other posters here that they will be unable to sell any playoff tickets to anyone else, because we Season Ticket holders will be eating all of the available tickets up.

Where is that? I am looking at my account now. I see my invoice, for a dollar amount. But I see nothing about seat assignments. ???

EDIT: Nevermind. If you click "continue" from the invoice, you can see the seat assignments before paying (since I sure as heck am not paying before I have to!)

I just got mine, man, I got pushed way back for the ALDS. Considering my weekend package was in 544 row 1, this is how my seats for the post season break down.

ALDS-All Games
Sec. 535 row 21

ALCS- Game 2
Sec. 533 row 14

WS-Game 2
Sec. 535 row 18

Don't get me wrong, im happy im in the park! But ive sat in both locations, and the sightlines from my season ticket seats are just awesome.

For some reason if im right behind home plate, i have a hard time judging fly balls, and if they are to the infield, or a goner.

I bought my Ozzie Plan in December, and I was notified two weeks ago that I can have EITHER 2 tix to one ALDS game, or 2 tix to each of 2 ALCS games.

I faxed back my form with the ALCS option checked; it will cost me $325 and my seats will be in the UD somewhere.

So the OP ticketholders will be getting some ALCS games.

But only if you got them soon enough. Those that bought Ozzie Plans after January 15 (I believe) don't get any playoff tickets.

Yup, that's what I was told too.

They haven't announced the OP for 2007 yet, but I may go to a 27-game package anyway. White Sox games are addictive.

I got my Ozzie plan in January and got 2 ALCS games as a playoff option faxed in on the 6th of August.
Somehow we became eligible for either 1 alds game or 2 ALCS games..

Seems funny to me that if you don't take the postseason tix, you lose your seats. I would think they would be happy to have extra playoff tickets from people who did not take the option.

I bought the 27 game plan in Nov. - Sec 149 row 4 (2 seats)

For the playoff games I have:

Division (3 games) Box 520 Row 8
ALCS (1 game) Box 536 Row 5
WS (1 game) Box 518 Row 6

I was only expecting 1 game to each series but I thought I would be closer to my season tickets instead of the UD.

Ahhh, so that's why us Ozzie plan holders got either 1 ALDS or 2 ALCS games. I thought it was backwards, but if all of the 27 game planners get 3 ALDS games, that leaves a LOT less tix for that series for Ozzie plan holders.
Anyone selling an ALDS game?

For the ALDS, Thats for all 3 games per seat. So I guess ALDS is $30 for each game.

For the ALCS and WS. The price is per seat per game

Is that per seat? In other words, what'st he per game/per seat cost?ALDS is $30 per seat but otherwise thats broken down correctly for Upper Deck... $200 something per seat for Lower Deck World Series tix... Sure beats scalper prices of $2000 or so though for UD... I got a SRO ticket down in Houston for a bargain basement price of $400 last year for game 3... Game 4 was actually decent at $1500 for 2 on the 3rd baseline

2 Years counting this year (Signed up the day they picked up AJ last year), and a Patio Party owner for about 2 years (60+ People) before that. Plus I used to have the best ticket guy in the biz... but Greg got promoted again and I now have Kari... she's got a lot to live up to!

I have the 27 game plan with my sister and this is how our tickets break down:

ALDS: 3 games, 2 tickets per game, $40 for each ticket= $240
ALCS: 1 game, 2 tickets, $75 for each ticket= $150
World Series: 1 game, 2 tickets, $150 for each= $300

That is $690 dollars + 25 service fee = a grand total of $715

Our regular season tickets are sec: 159 row 17 and it seems like we got upgraded a bit for the playoffs, which seems strange, but our seats for the playoffs would be:

ALDS: Sec 103 row 27
ALCS: Sec 157 row 10
World Series: Sec 101 row 17

I am definately not happy with my post season seat assignment. I have been a 27 game weekday season ticket holder in the upper deck for 7 years. We sit in 530 right behind home plate, row 4. Premium upper deck seats. My Division series tickets are in 533, row 22, ALCS section 537, row 20. I can live with that, but the tickets for game 1 of the World series put me in section 507, all the way down the right field line, row 9.
I would think that some of us longer standing season ticket holders would have got a better shake. Guess this is what happens when you win a world series title.

Most full season holders are getting their regular seats, but some 27 game LD holders are being bumped to the UD, presumably to seats like yours. Then folks like you get bumped even farther back, and so forth.
For the WS, the Sox lose thousands of good seat locations, so that's all that's left.
