View Full Version : Foulke blames himself for 2001

Although Foulke did a great job last year, he did blow some big games. Obviously it is not his fault for 2001. If it weren't for him it would've been even worse, but if he had saved those few games he blew, the Sox just maybe would've made the playoffs.

Said Foulke:

I strive for perfection. There are times when you have a bad outing and laugh it off. But most of those 9 losses were big games, and it wasn't like I gave up 4 or 5 runs. It was more like I couldn't get that one pitch that would have gotten the job done...The way I look at it, my teammates bust their tails and I come in a blow a game. It tore me up for basically the whole season...With 9 losses, if I cut that in half, we pick up four or five more games. If I get the job done, who knows how we would have finished.

By the way look at this pic. Somebody needs to get more sleep.

All I need are some tasty waves and a cool buzz, and I'm fine...
