Hey ESPN, we had the best bench last year, too.

There's ESPN for ya...tryin' to win over the fans of the World Champs....Wow, this TOTALLY changes my opinion of ESPN and their attitude towards our team.

ESPN is the BEST! They are awesome like FOX!

(OK...sorry, I feel better now-my first teal moment)

ESPN insightful baseball analysis:

2005: "They'll be cryin' in their beer on the south side. The White Sox are not going to the playoffs. Look to Minnesota."
2006: "Detroit wins the central and Boston wins the wild card."

Proof that ESPN is crapola: they have both Eli Marrero and Ricky Ledee listed for the Mets. The only problem? Marrero was the guy waived to make room for Ledee, so they're not on the same bench.

They also say that Mack is struggling at the plate? I can think of a lot of Major Leaguers that wish they were struggling with a .303 avg...

Speaking of last years bench....

Geoff Blum came up last nite with two out in the ninth, Pads down one to the giants, with man on first and second.

He battled to 3-2- fouled off a few and then finally went down swinging on a low inside breaking ball. Same swing as in Houston in game 3 but the ball broke this time.

Thankfully, in Houston it did not and Blum golfed it out and the rest is history...

I really thought he would get it done last nite- he is very cool in those situations and took some close pitches. Will always root for him.

Our bench is the most clutch bench I've ever seen. I dont think there's one guy (well, except Sandy) that I wouldn't mind having at the plate late in a game.
