The best team should win two of three in Boston, right? Let's see which team comes out on top. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the Sox have to continue to pour it on, and get three of four from Kansas City.

That's nice...
I predict that in 6 months, Mitch Album, will have a best seller out called "September with the Tigers" about how to crash and burn in a pennant race with dignity ....some life's lessons that we should all follow.

Hmmmm. This was picked up in today's Arizona Republic...sort of. They left out the part where I-Rod freaked.

He'll be too busy making up stories.

Of course they would write positive things about their hometown team! This is the Detroit Free Press, not the Chicago Tribune!

Yeah, Tiger23 was in the postgame thread, and I think Oblong was as well.

Yeah, I'm still around Jenn. I'm just thankful that today isn't an off day (to prolong my sulking) and that Josh Beckett has been struggling (of course so were Buerhle and Garcia).

Yeah, that got me too until I took a second look. He actually said "for world champions" which Boston was in 2004, so I guess we have to let it slide.

That and Schilling was the only one of the three on the team in 2004.

Detroit > Boston. AL Central > AL East.

The Red Cubs annually are overrated by all of their fans in the national media. Baseball tonight claimed the pitching matchups clearly favor Boston. We'll see.
