View Full Version : Does anyone have confidence in Javy tonight?

Will we win because of Javy, or in spite of Javy?
I am expecting a performance closer to his last start. I don't think he will only give up 1 run against the Yankee$, but maybe 2-3. So I am saying because of Javy. Other people's thoughts?

Yes. Why? I don't know.

I won't gain confidence in him until he turns a few more outings like he had last Saturday.

I'm thinking (hoping?) closer to lights out Javy than Headcase Javy. Hoping that some kind of a switch went off in his head during the Jays game and that will become the norm. Probably too much to ask tho.

It depends on whether Saturday's outing was a fluke or he's back to what he's supposed to be doing.

I noticed that Javy didn't hang his curveball the whole start against the Jays, and it was very nasty. That may have been the difference

I think his last performance was the start of a new era (and ERA) for Javy. I'm not expecting 8 innings pitched and 1 run let up, but at least a quality start out of him.

No, I don't have confidence in Javy. He is never consistent. I have no idea whether he'll be great or terrible tonight.

I do

If he can throw the ball like he did last time out - I BELIEVE!

I have faith. I do want him on a very short leash though. I'd start gettin McCarthy loose in the 5th, just in case.

Count me in as a "yes" too...

I am sure the pen will be up in the fifth, but I have faith that the White Sox will win tonight.

A better question is does Javy have confidence in Javy?

You are correct, sir.

I predict Javy will get bombed tonight and then we'll hear some blame Ques-tec as the reason.

08-10-2006, 09:14 PM
Yes...I made him my pick to click because I believe he can turn in another good performance. I won't say he'll win every game and have 10+ Ks per game, but I have him winning this one.

I am hopeful that the changes Coop and Javy made were the cause of the turn around and not just the Jays laying an egg. Come one Javy prove me right.

"Half-game" Vazquez, or rather "Have 'yer bat ready" Vasquez will definitely figure out to get outta the game by the sixth.

I have supreme confidence in Javy.

No teal.

So, is there going to be another of these annoying threads before the next start?
