August 9, 2000 - The Sox have one of their highest scoring games in history as they bury the Mariners 19-3 at Comiskey Park. Mike Sirotka is the recipient of the onslaught. Frank Thomas goes 3 for 4 on the night with two home runs and five RBI’s.

Ah wouldn't that be sweet if the Sox could put up similar numbers against Randy Johnson tomorrow? He's shown he can give up a lot of runs lately.

Wow, I remember that game! I remember Big Frank came within inches of hitting a third home run that night!

I was at that game. I think Graffanino hit a grand slam that night too.

Jaime Moyer took one for the team that night, the M's had a bullpen to go to the night after and take 3 of 4 in the series.
I remember the doubleheader the day before. First game, I had my hands on a foul ball by third base, but the Cub fan (grown man) behind me wacked me in the eye with his mit. Garland got the loss. Second game, they blew a lead late.
That was part of Seattle's hot second half that sent them on the course to sweeping us in October. So I'd call it a hollow 19-3 win at best.
