The third and final scheduled Windy City Sox Fans luncheon of the 2006 season will be this Friday, August 11, at the Polo Cafe, 3322 S. Morgan in Bridgeport, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Our guest will be Tim Raines. (The Sox are also trying to get another player, but they haven't confirmed anyone yet.)

The luncheon will include an autograph session, a buffet lunch, and Q&A session with Chris Rongey, pre- and post-game host from The Score. In addition there will be a live auction for a pair of Scout Seat tickets, donated by WCKG radio's Steve Dahl for the August 29 game against the Devil Rays.

Admission is $35.00 for WCSF members, $45.00 for non-members, and $25.00 for kids age 10 and under. Windy City Sox Fans is a 501(c)(3) corporation. A portion of the admission fee are tax deductible. Proceeds go to Chicago Baseball Cancer Charities and are earmarked for Children's Memorial Hospital.

For further information or reservations, phone (708) 424-8520.

Guests are subject to change.

FYI the value of the two scout seat tickets is $360.00, and includes all you can eat/drink at the Scout Seats Lounge and at your seats with wait service. Two parking passes (one for Lots D-E and the other a red pass) also come with the tickets.

The Sox finally let us know who our other guest will be tomorrow. Third base coach Joey Cora.

Hey! The money goes to charity. Come to the luncheon and question his moves!

I hope they offer auctions like this in the future. I would love to get a pair of scout seats for my dad for his b-day.

Everyone gets a wave! I wonder if he will have time to speak.

I'm not going to know whether I can make it until Friday morning. Is it possible for me to just show up at the door and get in?

If you can call the club phone number early (like before 9:00), we can fit you in. We MIGHT be able to allow you in at the door, but I can't guarantee it. They usually make a few extra meals for walk-ups.
